What We Need

The African American Museum of Southern Arizona is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the important history of the African American community in Southern Arizona. As one of the historical institutions in the region, we are committed to collecting and caring for a diverse range of artifacts that reflect the everyday lives, contributions, and experiences of African Americans.

Our collection includes objects related to daily life, military service, local businesses, cultural events, and significant religious, social, political, and educational milestones.

If you have items or a collection that you believe represent the African American experience, we invite you to contact us.

To begin the process, please complete our Historical Objects Inventory (HOI) form below, which will help us identify and evaluate the significance the items will have regarding Southern Arizona History.

Once we receive the HOI it may take a week or so for us to contact you regarding your inquiry.
